Partial Mastodon Radius – Florida (osteoarthritis)

Mastodons were large, prehistoric mammals resembling modern elephants. They are characterized by their unique teeth, stocky tusks, and a shaggy coat. They roamed North America during the late Pleistocene epoch and primarily fed on trees and shrubs. Their fossil teeth and bones can be found throughout Florida's many Pleistocene deposits.
